Goalsetter and Pro Dunk (Hoops Inc.) basketball systems have some significant differences. We have listed the major points below for your convenience.
- Goalsetter restricts players from dunking and hanging on their basketball hoops (found in the installation instructions). The Signature Series was not designed to be dunked on. Pro Dunk goals are designed for dunking and can easily withstand a 225 pound athlete dunking and hanging on the NCAA quality break-away rim.
- Goalsetter basketball hoops do not have gusset support at their base. The absence of this added support reduces the rigidity of their basketball systems.
- Goalsetter states in their FAQ that padding should be used with all adjustable basketball systems. Hoops agrees that for safety reasons adjustable systems should have padding. This is why Pro Dunk goals come with a full padding set standard (backboard, pole and gusset) at no extra cost to the customer.
- Pro Dunk goals can adjust down to 5' while the Signature Series will only adjust to 6'. The Pro Dunk goals are perfect for young and demanding players alike.
- Goalsetter uses a large dealer network to distribute their basketball systems. These dealers are usually playground equipment dealers as well.
