VPI Grizzly Basketball Goals

Rim

The VPI Grizzly Basketball goals come in single or double fixed rims. Hoops Pro Dunk basketball goals come with a NCAA dual spring adjustable break-away rim. These rims give the same feel as a gym basketball system and allow for dunking without breaking the backboard or other parts of the system.

Backboard

The VPI Grizzly basketball hoops are available in acrylic backboards. Hoops offer gym quality tempered glass backboards with its Pro Dunk line of basketball hoops. These backboards play just like a gym backboard and are more durable than the softer acrylic boards. The glass boards will stay clear for the life of the system while acrylic boards will cloud due to scratching. For a quality playing system we recommend the tempered glass backboards.

System Adjustability

VPI systems adjust down to 7 feet. The Pro Dunk goals can adjust all the way down to 5 feet. This gives young player a chance to improve their skills while older more demanding players can take advantage of the better rebounding and bank shots (via the solid tempered glass backboard) at 10 feet.

Padding

Hoops believes that safety should come first. All Pro Dunk systems come with backboard, pole and gusset padding. The backboard padding is a necessity with adjustable goals when youngsters are slam dunking. The pole pad protects elite players from injuring themselves when driving in for hard lay-ups. The gusset padding keeps players from rolling their ankle on the base gussets and from falling onto the pier bolts. We believe that padding on a system like this is necessary and recommend everybody use it.
